Flexible containment in ATEX areas is not a new concept.... BUT.....TRAQuE's engineering team in partnership with Solo Containment have just pushed the concept to a whole new level with the supply of an OEB 4 rated isolator for a Singapore based major API manufacturing facility.
In order to maximise on Operator Safety the enclosure will be operating at Negative Pressure. The design features an H14 rated air inlet HEPA and a 2 stage "push-push" safe change exhaust HEPA filters (all with individual pressure indicators). The flexible enclosure will be rendered inert by a multi-flow rate nitrogen purge with vent gases removed by an automated speed control fan.
All controls for fan speed variation, stop/start and indicator lights meet the site ATEX rating and Solo have engineered safe cable routing for the weigh scales and display units.
The entire isolator is castor mounted with hand a cranked rise/fall table to assist with height variation in the operations team. With ergonomics in mind the isolator is designed to operate with a PalPharma ATEX rated drum lifter. This interfaces with the isolator drum port using a single use LDPE drum sleeve and the new Ezi-Dock crimp system.
TRAQuE are pleased to annonce we have been awarded BizSafe Level 3 by the WSH Council.
Congratulations to the team and well done in the continued efforts in supporting safety.
